Is learning French hard? Is a legitimate question. These 7 easy tips will give a huge relief to all who want to learn French.
This post is all about the question IS LEARNING FRENCH HARD?
If you ask the French: “Is learning French hard?” they will say: ”no”. Was it difficult for you to learn English if you are born in England for example? No. It was difficult for me as a French person to learn English. But I fixed it.
In this post, I will show you 3 ways to make it easier for you and hopefully, you will change your question: Is learning French hard? By: Is learning French easy?
After reading this post you will be full of enthusiasm at the prospect to one day soon be able to speak French as fluently as I can do it.
This post is all about Is learning French hard
IS LEARNING FRENCH HARD?
The first fix to that question would be to throw it away and choose the opposite instead by asking yourself not: Is learning French hard? But How is French so easy to learn? It’s about any tips on learning French you can get.
I BELIEVE THAT IN ORDER TO LEARN BETTER, COMFORT AND SELF-CONFIDENCE ARE ESSENTIAL, THAT IS WHY IN ALL MY COURSES I SHOW YOU THESE LETTERS THAT BOTHER YOU FROM BEING THERE WHILE THEY ARE NOT PRONOUNCED. THAT IS ALSO WHY I SIMPLY ASK YOU TO IMITATE ME OVER AND OVER USING A LANGUAGE THAT IS CONTRACTED SO THAT YOU WILL FEEL EMPOWERED WHEN THE TIME COMES FOR YOU TO COMMUNICATE WITH THE FRENCH.

There are many reasons for an English speaking person to find that French is easy to learn, among them:
1.The letters are the same.
Ask a Chinese person to learn English. It was already pretty hard for a French person. When you don’t write the same way at all, it’s a big obstacle that has been lifted out of the way for you who are using the same letters.
2. 1/3 of the French words are similar to the correspondent English word.
Just the sound is different. A way to fix it is to put all your focus on mastering the sounds. You concentrate first on things that seem an easy task.
3. French is Easier than Spanish
If you think: Is learning French hard? that probably means that you have heard it somewhere. But if I prove to you that French is easier than Spanish, will it make you more relaxed and confident? Compare the two verb conjugations, the Spanish and the French. Concentrate only on what is pronounced and decide what is easier. The way to fix it is to focus on speaking first.

4. Avoid grammar for a while
The study of grammar will confuse you. It will make you self-conscious and you are going to panic. Delay it for a few months.
5. Work on a genuine impromptu French conversation, not a recorded one.
The little difference becomes huge when you are trying to erase the following question from your mind: Is learning French hard?
6. Become independent.
Learn a tool you can use whenever you want or need to, to continue to speak French on your own. I didn’t have any tools when I came to the US. Unfortunately, most of the French courses online don’t give you any tools. You always have to come back to them for more.
Pre-register for free for my next free workshop. It will be 4 days in a row. We will meet for half an hour each day. At the end of the week, you should be able to use this incredibly powerful tool if you want one day to speak French with the French. Click HERE
7. Learn French once and for all.
It’s to follow point 6.
If you heard that learning the French language is difficult, it’s probably because people learn French and restart many times. That gives a bad taste and results in a loss of confidence to speak French one day.
You want to apply in context.
To work on films is the best if you are not in the country yet. How do people really speak? In order to be understood, you have to speak like them. To do that, you have to understand them not globally but in detail. How do you want to imitate them if you cannot analyze on the fly what they are saying?
That might be the most important exercise to do from day one when you learn French and I can assure you, it’s rarely done.
When you do that you quickly become independent.
You don’t need to spend another hour in class and for the teacher, it’s much more satisfying to know you are out of here on your own ability to speak and continue to progress by yourself. You don’t have to spend another dollar online. Now you are ready to go to France and enjoy your stay there. And you will grow in confidence.
I read a great article by Marianne Bessy in the AATF brochure last year. To motivate her beginner students she teaches francophone culture. It’s a very good idea but of course, she has to teach them in English. In my opinion, enthusiasm can be generated through the language as well.
This session was all about Is learning French hard, hoping it can help you choose the easiest and fastest way for you to speak French.

Is time important for you?
….If you typed ‘learn French fast, you are probably not a student. Students know that it will request time. You are caught and you need to learn fast because you have been hired by a French company or you have planned a trip to France. Will you experience the best if you don’t know anything about the language? Because you might be questioning your ability to speak french, realizing it will be much more fun if you can speak French a bit before you go. Most of the apps you can find on your phone will probably be useless when you land there. They just make you feel good before you take off, and that’s it. Well, if you are leaving in two weeks, it’s a little late, but it’s not without a solution…
What is your goal?
…. The important question to ask yourself is: What am I learning French for? If I answer that question, I will be able to decide how I want to learn it. Most people will join a class. We are all consumers and we don’t really question enough. We enroll in a course online without further questioning. That’s where we lose a lot of time. Because most of the known programs will not help you speak and also understand and be understood. Why? Because most of them have not been created by the French. And even If the creators were actually French, they might have been intellectuals whose interest or focus is mainly to write. But you want to speak French.
The French are not the only ones who know the French language but they are the only ones who have been speaking it since birth…

We chose to be selective
….To master the French conjugation online, I propose that you start with the easy part, but not only the easy part. You want to practice the verbs that are most used. Actually, they are the same in all languages. So which verbs, like French verbs, are the most used?
We are going to repeat them over and over. if you have followed me through these live events, you might remember I mentioned several times the quote in ‘the Crown’ that says: we learn through imitation. Right?
At the condition that what we repeat is not wrong. Repeating a million times something that is wrong will not make it right at the end.
Here are the most important verbs to learn
So the French verbs that are most helpful to know because they are most used in the language are the four verbs: to be, to have, to go, and to do. In French, the verb ‘to do’ is used all the time. For example, there is the expression ‘pay attention’, which in French is ‘faire attention’. When in English there’s a verb to express an activity, a lot of activities in French need the verb to do to be defined. For example, to do in French is ‘faire’. We omit the word ‘to’. The verb is only one word. Now, for ‘to wash the dishes’, the French will say ‘to do the dishes’: Faire la vaisselle. To clean the house, Faire le ménage. That doesn’t mean that ‘to wash’ and ‘to clean’ don’t have a translation, but we’d rather use the verb ‘faire’ in these circumstances.
We also use frequently the verb ‘to go’, ‘aller’ in French. But this one is easy if you know English already because it is used to express the future tense like in English. We don’t use it exactly like in English but it’s actually easier. If you want to say ‘I will walk’, in English, you can say ‘I am going to walk’, right. In French, we will say ‘je vais marcher’

Learn French for free:
Listen, I know that:
You can express yourself in French. I know everyone can do it because I can do it, right. I have learned English. However, it was not easy but I did it. I didn’t have the chance you have to be able to learn French online. I did it only in class. And you will learn French faster, much faster than it took me to learn your language.
I also know that:
If you are learning live in a class, Learning French online doubles your chances. In any case, I made that program for you. Show me that you are curious enough to come to the challenge and learn French for free. You will see it’s amazing. You will not know everything you need to know to speak French, of course. I am not going to pretend you can speak like me after 4 days. But I guarantee you will have a fantastic tool at your disposal at the end of the week that will make you know how you can be totally independent.
Finally:
Do you know what is generally missing in the best programs out there, at least the most famous French online courses? Yes, they reward you with points along the way, they find ways to motivate you. And they have to because their program is so long. They will leave you empty-handed at the end and if you want to redo it, you will have to pay again. Moreover, you won’t even have a tool to continue on your own. Please, if there is anyone who has finished one of these programs, let me know if I’m wrong because I have worked 20 years so that I can deliver a program that will not leave you empty-handed in the end.
