Let’s think about it for a minute, because there are very good things about living in France. First, you experience food as you have never tasted before, simple food. The baguette in Paris is top, like the pizza in Napoli. But I’m not talking about that. When you learn the French language it is a big advantage to be surrounded by natives. I had studied English and when I arrived in New York, I started to learn it. And in New York, I had a big dream: If I only could have a tutor at my side in the streets of New York, who could detail for me some parts of these conversations that I would witness, he could isolate some sentences caught from these conversations. No doubt that it would have been awesome.

By going with this blog you will experience firsthand the way they speak when they speak to each other. That has been my experience and you can have it too. In the end, you will be very confident and you will speak without holding back.
That’s the main point. I could make you speak French in one month but if you don’t reach this level of independence, you will lose everything very fast also. What you want is a solid foundation and you want to know exactly what you are building. That is not difficult.

I studied
We don’t think of comparing studying and learning because we generally understand that if we study, therefore we learn. It’s actually a big gamble. But comparing these two action verbs we can think of other solutions in order to retain what we have learned.
You can learn
My system has answered a few questions I’ve had with me since I was a student. I didn’t really like school. I came to the US knowing a little bit of school English and determined to get the best off my stay. Imitation was the way I learned and I wished I had learned that way since the beginning.
The others will be lectured
If you think of it, Nobody studies through imitation. We are mostly lectured. We feel constantly under pressure, judged. That didn’t go well with me. That’s why I came up with this system that relieves you from stress.
An example
Let’s take an example. We learn how to read. A lot of kids, even bright ones, don’t like to read, right? Why? Because it is painful. If you try to read a book that is full of words you don’t understand, or with too many concepts you can’t grab, the joy of reading goes away. And when we experienced the pain, we can’t go back to the activity easily and experience pleasure. Of course, as grown-ups, we have forgotten all about it.
I know of that pain because I studied English, and I had to read in English. It struck me then that to read was really not fun. I tried to examine the reasons and I found out that I needed to understand what I was reading. Consequently, I was very frustrated. I could read one page. After that, I was falling asleep.
I was in a situation that I didn’t like, but I was able to analyze why I didn’t like it. After that, I found a solution to fix it. It took me years to come up with a solution after the problem had already vanished. The solution is shared through this blog.
The solution
I found that if I could read without feeling the pressure to understand, I could enjoy it more. It’s only when I started acting classes that I started to truly appreciate reading. I was even a book addict for a few years after I discovered that pleasure.
Now for my French courses, I came up with an exercise on words and sentences and dialogs, that takes you away from the necessity to understand. Understanding is not the goal. It is replaced by just doing that exercise. It’s simple enough that all you do is apply the rules and do it, regardless if you understand or not. That would be enough already to erase most of the difficulties in learning French, right?
The only way I enjoyed reading as a kid was to read out loud, even if I could not understand what I was reading. I liked poetry. It was not boring because my attention had switched from understanding to listening. I discovered that reading out loud was helping me.
